    4 Ways To Boost Your Mental Health

    1. Get Active

    Regular exercise not only improves your physical health, but your mental health as well. Exercise decreases stress and helps you sleep better, among other things. While during the winter months extremely cold temps and inclement weather may prevent you from staying active outdoors, you can modify your workout indoors. For example, run on your treadmill or use a stationary bike.

    2. Socialize

    Socializing with family and friends can give you a great mental boost. Reminisce about old times over a cup of coffee or have a chat through social media. Just enjoy yourself!

    3. Relax

    Whether you choose to meditate, practice yoga, or take a nap, relaxing is a great way to declutter your mental space. Also, light a candle or listen to your favorite classical or jazz album to set a peaceful ambience.

    4. Nourish Your Mind

    What do leafy greens (i.e., kale, spinach, etc.), omega-3s (fatty fish (think salmon), nuts (i.e., walnuts, almonds, etc.), beans and fresh fruit have in common? They all boost your mood!
